LIVE SOLO PERFORMANCE IN MY HOMETOWN [Ottawa]

On May 18, 2017, I was excited to come back to my hometown and play a mini-concert at the Kiwanis Festival Concert as their special guest [here's the press release and a preview article that appeared on the front page of the Ottawa Citizen Arts section]. The concert was doubly meaningful for me: first,  I myself had come up in Ottawa performing regularly at this festival during my formative years as a (then) aspiring classical pianist. Secondly, it was my first time back performing in my hometown in  many years, and it also gave me the opportunity to "vent" a bit about the reign of Trump through the premiering of several new compositions I had recently written, which are included below:

On Sept. 23/16 I was excited to return to Edmonton's historic Yardbird Suite after many years to play with some fantastic Canadian musicians: saxist Jim Brenan, drummer Jonathan McCaslin, and bassist Rubim DeToledo,  in a special Tribute to John Coltrane concert in honor of what would have been his 90th birthday that weekend.
